LEC Supports Healthcare Heroes with PPE Donations
In a profound act of community care, LEC extended a hand of support to Scott Hospital in Morija—a place where dedication meets the frontlines of healthcare. This visit was more than just a gesture; it was a reaffirmation of LEC’s unwavering commitment to those who tirelessly protect the well-being, even in the most challenging times.
With deep respect for their sacrifice, the LEC team delivered essential Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and critical supplies, to ensure that Scott Hospital’s healthcare workers have the resources they need to continue with their vital work.
While we all wish we could do more, it is often in moments like these that true care and responsibility shine through acts of giving. “It is really encouraging to extend a helping hand, no matter the size, as this goes a long way and is also strengthening the fabric of our communities”, said Ms Moremoholo. While the challenges may come and go, the spirit of giving back remains a cornerstone of who we are, she added.
The LEC Risk Manager further said that LEC understands a single act of generosity and that it creates ripples of impact. She highlighted that a donation is not just about providing materials—it is about standing with those who dedicate their lives to keeping us safe. She noted that through this effort, LEC expresses profound appreciation for the dedication and resilience of these healthcare heroes, thus the initiative serves as a quiet yet powerful reminder of LEC’s role within the community.
Meanwhile, on behalf of Scott Hospital, a Nursing Officer Sister Gwendolyn Mafuleka expressed gratitude towards the generous act, saying that LEC is proving that it is not just a provider of essential services, but is also a partner in progress that is always seeking ways to uplift and support its stakeholders.
