The Management of the Lesotho Electricity Company (Pty) Ltd has seen it befitting to make the ceremony a success by sponsoring an award at the Lerotholi Polytechnic Graduation Ceremony today, October 3, 2025.

The ceremony was held at Lerotholi Polytechnic premises, and LEC graced the event by also sponsoring a graduate in the Engineering Department, awarding the best performer: Basso Buthelezi.

Buthelezi scooped first position under Diploma in Electrical Engineering and walked away with an astounding amount of M5000.00 only.

LEC is of service to the nation, thus forming part of LEC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), engaging in philanthropic corporate social responsibility is one of the mandates that LEC has sought and seeks to achieve.

One major aspect of the company as a corporate citizen is to fulfill its mandate in improving the well-being of the society it serves and meaningfully contribute towards their respective lives.

This noble act does not only signify impact of giving back to the community but clearly symbolises commitment and understanding that LEC has towards education system in the country and thus, shaping the future of the upcoming generation.
